TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By accessing or using SCHOONHUID’s official website, www.schoonhuid.co.za, you are acknowledging that you have read, understand, and agree, without limitation, to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

 

AGREEMENT OF SALE

SCHOONHUID will notify you by email to acknowledge receipt of your order and to provide you with an order number. If we are unable to fulfill your order, for any reason whatsoever, following this acknowledgment, we will contact you by email or telephone advising you of this, and provide you with a refund or an alternative product option. Any information concerning your order please email us at info@schoonhuid.co.za quoting your order number.

An agreement of sale comes into effect when either a credit card authorisation is received from the issuing bank, or a bank transfer is reflected on our bank statement.

In the unlikely event that a product is out of stock when an order is placed, or any product pricing errors occur, or if we are unable to obtain authorization for your payment we may not accept your order. We reserve the right to reject any offer to purchase by you at any time. SCHOONHUID reserves the right to retract or end any promotion offer, discount, or free shipping without any notice.

Please note that when SCHOONHUID accepts your order from this website there will be a legally binding contract.

 

PAYMENT

Payment can be made by any of the following methods: Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or Credit Card. Payment will be debited and cleared from your account at the point at which your order is acknowledged. Please note that all credit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the issuer of the card. The cardholders address must match the information held by the issuing authority. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to pay or does not for any reason authorise payment to SCHOONHUID (Pty) Ltd, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery of products. Please note that we retain the legal ownership of all products until full payment has been made by you and received by us. Legal ownership of the products will immediately transfer back to us if we refund any payment for the products to you.

 

DELIVERY

You accept that in order to fulfill a delivery by the courier service for any SCHOONHUID orders or part of an order, you do not personally have to receive the goods at the delivery address supplied by you during checkout, but that any person at the delivery address can sign for and accept the delivery.

If no person is at the delivery address during delivery of your order, the courier service will contact you to receive your order. Please note that we only courier door to door or with prior arrangement Postnet to Postnet and we do not ship to Postal Boxes.

 

INSPECTION

It's the responsibility of the receiver of delivery to check upon receipt of the delivery that all products on the delivery note are included and that there are no breakages. SCHOONHUID waive any and all liability if this is not done and we are not notified immediately should there be a problem with the products in your delivery.

Please see our Returns Policy regarding cancellation rights and/or return of goods. Should you fail to take action as per above, SCHOONHUID is not obligated to accept or refund any rejection by you of products at a later date.

 

CANCELLATION RIGHT

You have a legal right to cancel your order within seven working days from the date of receipt of an order. Email SCHOONHUID at info@schoonhuid.co.za or by phone 071 870 5074 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm) with a notice of cancellation in writing within the timeframe set out above. Return the order in their original, unopened and unused condition. Please include full details of the customer, order number, and email address used on the SCHOONHUID website.

RETURNS

The returns policy is for goods purchased on the website.

We hope that you and your home will be embraced by SCHOONHUID. However, if for any reason you are not completely satisfied we are happy to offer a refund, exchange, or replacement on all products returned to us within 7 days of your receipt of goods provided they are in their original, unopened, unused, and undamaged condition. We will consider the condition of the goods being returned when making a refund.

On receipt of the returned goods, we will give you a refund of the amount paid for the products. Refunds will be made against the original form of tender. Please note that the delivery nor the return delivery costs will not be reimbursed.

Important Medical Disclaimer

We at SCHOONHUID are proud of the fact that our products are made with natural or natural derivative raw ingredients, sourced in South Africa. Many of the raw ingredients we use can be traced back to the harvesting farm. We use African oils that have long been believed to have healing properties and have been used for centuries for the possible health benefits they possess.

It is important to note, however, that SCHOONHUID products should not be used as a substitute for medical care, as self-medication nor to treat any form of health condition. You should always consult with a professional doctor or medical provider before changing any health or beauty practices, particularly if you suffer from any pre-existing health conditions.

Special precautions must be taken in the case of women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, as certain SCHOONHUID products contain essential oils whose safety for use has not been established in these individuals.

The flagship collection, Groot Karoo SCHOONHUID, including the Travel, Tuiste, and Artisan Soap collections use essential oils in our blends where Limonene, Linalool, Citronellol and Citral naturally occur and can cause allergic reactions.

SCHOONHUID will not be responsible for any individual adverse reaction due to the use of its products. The use of our products is solely at the end user's risk. If you are uncertain about possible sensitivity, always do a patch test before use or consult your healthcare professional.

 We trust that you will use our products safely and responsibly and hope that you let your home and skin be embraced by SCHOONHUID.  

Colour, Fragrance and Consistency Disclaimer

We use pure essential oils because they are natural and therapeutic. Essential oils composition can be different from batch to batch. The change in the composition of essential oils is influenced by soil conditions, climate and the conditions of plant crops and conservation methods. Which is why some essential oils from the same plant but different regions might produce an oil with different fragrances. This change may also affect the consistency, fragrance and colour of products that contain these essential oils. This however does not alter the effectiveness and purpose of the product.
